Letters  to the Editor

Help was needed, and was there

I would like to thank "Mike" for saving my mother's life New Year's Eve.

My mother, brother and I had just finished dinner at the Windmill Diner on Mill Plain Road in Danbury.

As we proceeded to leave, my mother has to sit down, at which point she collapsed.

Mike, who works at the restaurant, walked over and said he was a Boy Scout certified in CPR. As he gave her CPR, she immediately recovered.

We are so grateful to Mike for coming forward. We didn't get his last name.

Mike was very cool, calm and collected and very mature in handling the situation. His parents should be very proud of him. And I know Mike will turn out to be a fine young man.
